My wife and I went on a walk today in our neighborhood. It was a lovely day in the mid-sixty degree range. We visited a place called:

As one sometimes does, we found Santa Claus shopping for some LP’s. He’s a vinyl kind of guy who carries a fire extinguisher in his back pocket in case things get too hot.

Smut has some great vinyl and we got lost in all the wonderful huge album art. The even had King Crimson’s “In the Court of the Crimson King”!

And more!

Mrs. Kram, being of a slightly younger generation, was surprised to see that Robert Fripp had made not one but two albums with the Police’s Andy Summers.

As we went outside, these people cheerily wished us a Merry Christmas! I know it’s the 3rd of July, but this is Portland and we aim to keep Portland weird!

Good lord, there are Santas everywhere! They make the random guy walking around with the parrot on his shoulder look rather normal.

They all left in unison. Maybe the fact that it was getting close to 68ºF made them start moving north?

Just about that time, we discovered a brand new brewery, just opened last week. It’s called…

Yes, that’s Coalition Brewing Co. They were going to call it Hobo Brewing Co. but someone owns that name. Drat! We liked this glass design so much that we bought it!

Here’s some old guy with the record that we bought. No, we don’t own a turntable but the art is by R. Crumb! It will be framed soon.

Fresh berries are our reward for all the rain we get. They grow everywhere! A wonderful day with my true love.

You don’t own a turntable?
Man, that’s the wrong-est thing I’ve ever heard.
I guess you Portlanderians are WEIRD!
